Heat Can Be Lethal: Arizona’s Ongoing Danger

Extreme heat isn’t just uncomfortable, it’s deadly! According to the National Weather Service, heat is the leading weather-related killer in Arizona, causing more deaths annually than floods, tornadoes, or storms. Prolonged exposure to high temperatures can lead to dehydration, heat exhaustion, and ultimately heat stroke, which can cause permanent damage or death if not treated quickly. Vulnerable populations like the elderly, young children, outdoor workers, and those without access to adequate cooling are especially at risk.

The danger doesn’t stop with the heat itself. Smoke from nearby wildfires is reducing air quality across the state, further threatening those with respiratory issues. The state’s heat risk level has been categorized as “major to extreme,” meaning nearly anyone—even those who are otherwise healthy—can be affected if they don’t take the right precautions.

Heat is a leading cause of the seasonal uptake in our biohazard remediation work here at T.A.C.T.  Taking proper precautions can save lives. Don’t underestimate how quickly heat can kill.

The Value of Discretion Over Advertising

Many companies find financial benefit in turning their fleet vehicles into moving billboards—advertising their services everywhere they go. It's an effective marketing strategy that boosts visibility and brand recognition.

However, T.A.C.T. 48 / AZ takes a different approach. We prioritize the privacy of our clients above marketing opportunities. That’s why our vehicles remain unmarked. Whether responding to a situation involving a blood spill from an accident, homicide or suicide to a hoarding, rodent, or other biohazard, we believe your personal circumstances should stay just that—personal.

We even train our team to be able to appropriate address any outside contacts inquiring of what work we are doing to be polite but not actually provide any details of the project being completed.  Discretion is part of our promise to handle every situation with compassion, respect, and professionalism.

T.A.C.T. 48 & T.A.C.T. AZ are ready to assist in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Flagstaff, Prescott, Kingman, Sedona, Glendale, Tucson, Sun City, Peoria, Surprise, Buckeye, Casa Grande, Yuma and throughout all of Arizona
