Supporting Special Olympics This Month

This month, T.A.C.T. is proud to support several Special Olympics Torch Run events happening across the Valley. These events are part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR), where first responders carry the Flame of Hope to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics athletes.

The connection is a natural one for us. LETR is led by law enforcement and first responders — and as the Last Responders, T.A.C.T. is honored to support those who serve our communities every day. It’s truly a symbiotic relationship, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to give back.

If you’re in the area, consider stopping by to cheer on the runners or show your support:

West Valley Torch Run

Rio Vista Park, 8866 W. Thunderbird Rd., Peoria

March 11 | Run begins at 12:30a

Downtown Phoenix Torch Run

Wesley Bolin Plaza

April 2 | Run begins at 4:00p

Oro Valley / Marana PD Torch Run

Marana Park, 4411 W. Tangerine Rd., Marana

April 15 | Run begins at 9:10a

Scottsdale / Tempe PD Torch Run

Scottsdale Hontz Training Facility, 911 N. Stadem Dr.

April 25 | Run begins at 8:00a

Please come out, see us (get your hand clapper!) and join us cheering on the athletes at each event.  If you can’t make it in person we encourage everyone to take a moment this month to consider making a donation — no matter the size.  A donation helps cover the costs that allow athletes to participate at no charge, including sports training, uniforms, equipment, transportation, and competitions throughout the year. It also supports programs like health screenings and leadership opportunities that help athletes build confidence, friendships, and life skills both on and off the field.

T.A.C.T. 48 & T.A.C.T. AZ are ready to assist in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Flagstaff, Prescott, Kingman, Sedona, Glendale, Tucson, Sun City, Peoria, Surprise, Buckeye, Casa Grande, Yuma and throughout all of Arizona

Public Safety Telecommunicators Week | Honoring Our 911 Dispatchers

All Emergency Reponse FirstResponders TACT TACT-AZ TACT48 TACTFtWorth TheLastResponders

This week, we recognize the incredible public safety telecommunicators—the calm, steady voices behind every 911 call. When emergencies unfold, these professionals are often the first first responders. They gather critical information, provide life-saving instructions, and coordinate police, fire, and EMS responses—often while managing intense stress and high-stakes situations most of us never see. Their work requires compassion, precision, resilience, and unwavering dedication. They don’t wear capes, but they are absolutely heroes. To every 911 dispatcher: thank you for answering the call, guiding people through their worst moments, and helping keep our communities safe—24/7, 365 days a year. Let’s take a moment this week to recognize and appreciate those who serve behind the scenes. #PublicSafetyTelecommunicatorsWeek #911Dispatchers #FirstResponders #PublicSafety #ThankYou
