The Chronicles of T.A.C.T. 48 & T.A.C.T. AZ - September

When the Desert Floods: Arizona’s Hidden Waterways
Arizona may be known for its dry heat, but when the rains come, the desert transforms fast. This past month brought record-breaking rainfall, turning streets, washes, and park areas into sudden rivers. Many Arizona parks are specifically engineered to double as stormwater channels during flash flood conditions—helping to protect neighborhoods by directing massive volumes of water safely through the city.
But while this design keeps our communities safer, it can also create deceptive dangers. What looks like a shallow flow can quickly become a rushing current capable of sweeping away vehicles in seconds. Sadly, these risks became all too real recently when Scottsdale Police contacted T.A.C.T. after a driver attempted to cross a flooded area. Despite swift rescue efforts, the individual tragically lost their life.
T.A.C.T. extends our deepest condolences to the victim’s loved ones and appreciation to the first responders who risk their lives during Arizona’s storm season. Please remember—never try to cross a flooded road or wash. It takes only a few inches of moving water to turn deadly. Turn around, don’t drown.
What Sets T.A.C.T. Apart from Other Biohazard Companies?
We get asked this question often—and there are a few key differences that truly define who we are.
Local and Family Owned:
While T.A.C.T. is a growing national franchise, each location is locally owned and operated. That means when an emergency happens, our team can be on-site within hours—not days—because we live and work right here in the community we serve.
Care and Compassion:
We started it because we saw a need. We’ve stood in our clients’ shoes and understand the emotions that come with traumatic situations. That’s why we treat every client with the same care and compassion we’d expect for our own families.
Transparency and Honesty:
We believe in open communication. Our team walks clients through every step of the process and provides written proposals with clear estimates. While some companies avoid quoting costs and simply “bill insurance,” T.A.C.T. believes you deserve to know what to expect from the start.

T.A.C.T. 48 & T.A.C.T. AZ are ready to assist in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Flagstaff, Prescott, Kingman, Sedona, Glendale, Tucson, Sun City, Peoria, Surprise, Buckeye, Casa Grande, Yuma and throughout all of Arizona

This week, we recognize the incredible public safety telecommunicators—the calm, steady voices behind every 911 call. When emergencies unfold, these professionals are often the first first responders. They gather critical information, provide life-saving instructions, and coordinate police, fire, and EMS responses—often while managing intense stress and high-stakes situations most of us never see. Their work requires compassion, precision, resilience, and unwavering dedication. They don’t wear capes, but they are absolutely heroes. To every 911 dispatcher: thank you for answering the call, guiding people through their worst moments, and helping keep our communities safe—24/7, 365 days a year. Let’s take a moment this week to recognize and appreciate those who serve behind the scenes. #PublicSafetyTelecommunicatorsWeek #911Dispatchers #FirstResponders #PublicSafety #ThankYou
